Lots to see and do here! Highly recommend the Model T ride on the tracks!

After that first visit, I returned for many others and even became involved in volunteering myself. I give the Museum high marks for authenticity and and personally reaching out to visitors. In addition I appreciate the expansive and interesting campus of the museum with its structures and network of railway tracks as well as clean bathrooms and good visitor interaction. I'd strongly recommend a stop for anyone visiting Midcoast Maine.

I've traveled to many railroad museums and scenic railways throughout the New England and the US and in my opinion the WW&F is probably the best one you will ever visit. The volunteers are wonderful and truly involved in teaching the history and presenting & restoring the RR.

The WW&F Railway Museum is a marvelous place for a family visit. The friendly staff are all volunteers who demonstrate a passion for the history of the railroad. It's inexpensive, authentic, and charming; I highly recommend spending a few hours on a sunny summer weekend.

My first visit to the WW&F Railway Museum was over 10 years ago. I was moved by the outgoing and enthusiastic nature of the staff, who I later learned were all volunteers. Their Railway is totally unique, unlike any other that I've visited in the United States. This is due in part to its interesting history, but also because the railway has been painstakingly rebuilt over the past 20-odd years by a dedicated group of individuals who visit from all over the country.

Another great Railroad place to visit, great history about this place. Fun for the whole family, nice employees here as well. Great steam engines too!
